Nothing says forever like a diamond... heist! Such is the case in La Morte Cammina con i Tachi Alti ("Death Walks on High Heels") by Luciano Ercoli. The strip-teasing daughter of a jewel thief is tracked by a mysterious killer looking to get his hands on the precious stones. Susan Scott, an icon of the genre, dances naked beneath Ercoli's zooming lens (the director is incidentally her husband in real life!) in this classic giallo that foreshadows some of Brian De Palma's cinematic visions.

Japanese director Kinji Fukasaku, a Yakuza movie expert, is responsible for the ultra-psychedelic Black Lizard about the adventures of a female Arsène Lupin played by the transvestite Miwa, as she tries to nab a superb diamond called "the Egyptian star". This rare film, with a kitschy universe that brings to mind Mario Bava's Diabolik, is a precious cinematic pop gem of the sixties!
