All Hallows' Eve | Offscreen
With "Black Christmas", "My Bloody Valentine" and consorts, there are countless horror films that take place during the holidays. But one holiday has served for more inspiration then all the rest, that highest of holy days of horror: Halloween. When night falls on All Saints' Day this year, Offscreen proposes an All Hallows' Eve duo for you to break out the pumpkin-flavored popcorn.
"Hell Night" marks Tom de Simone's mainstream debut after 10 years in the gay porn industry and an American remake of "Le Sexe qui parle". An entertaining horror flick in a dilapidated manor reminiscent of the great Italian gothic classics, entirely carried by cult stars Linda Blair and Peter Barton ("The Powers of Matthew Star") and set to an original, Goblin-inspired soundtrack.
With "Halloween III: Season of the Witch," it was time to take the popular slasher series to a new level. Michael Myers has been completely erased in an effort to break all the rules, making for a black sheep in the series appreciated by only the most ardent of fans.

Halloween III: Season of the Witch
It's Halloween night and a doctor investigates a mask manufacturer who may have infected his merchandise with pure evil. A horrific new variation on the theme which drew both critical and public criticism for the notable absence of Michael Myers.
