A chauffeur and a mechanic (James Taylor and Beach Boy Dennis Wilson, respectively) roam America in search of clandestine drag races. As they wander, they come across a young hitchhiker (Laurie Bird) and a pathological liar (Warren Oates) who set up the ultimate road challenge. A road movie masterpiece.
